The Dunk King (Season 2) is a sports-themed, reality competition series where it features top amateur dunkers from around the globe as they take center stage to showcase their best dunks for a chance at a $100,000 prize and the distinction of being named "dunk king".

PremiseEdit

The series offers ballers the opportunity of a lifetime: to make the leap from obscurity to celebrity and win $100,000. Who will make their dreams a reality? Who will be "The Dunk King"?

In season 2, two more brand new judges join the roster along with Barkley, O'Neal and Barry which are Julius Erving and Nate Robinson. In addition, season 1 winner Porter Mayberry will look to defend his title of "The Dunk King" against a competitive field of twenty-four top amateur dunkers.

  • In 2016, The four episode series airs immediately following coverage of the NBA Western Conference Final Games 1-4. In Season 2, the show debuted following the network's coverage of the first four games of the 2017 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
  • This is Terrence J. Jenkins 2nd hosted reality show, his first was the short-lived reality dating series Coupled on FOX in 2016.
  • In 2017, for season two, the series is presented by "5-Hour Energy Drink".
