The $64,000 Challenge was a spin-off of The $64,000 Question in which contestants who won $8,000 or more on that show were challenged by other contestants.

Gameplay[]

Two contestants, one of whom won over $8,000 on The $64,000 Question, would be quizzed on the same subject of expertise. At the $1,000 and $2,000 levels, both players would take turns answering questions. If both players answered a question correctly on the same turn, the next money level would be worth twice as much. If both players missed a question, they would remain at that level. Starting at the $4,000 level, both players would each stand in an isolation booth and be asked the same question. After being asked a question, that player would think it over for 15 seconds before answering the question. If only one of the players missed a question at any given level, the player with the correct answer could continue against the same opponent or end the competition, keeping the money (up to $64,000) and starting a new contest against a new challenger on the same subject.
