Rachael Domenica Ray (born August 25, 1968) is an American Emmy award winning television personality, businesswoman, celebrity chef and author. She hosts her self-titled syndicated daily talk and lifestyle show, and three Food Network series, (30 Minute Meals, Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels and $40 a Day). Ray wrote cookbooks based on the 30 Minute Meals concept, and launched a magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray, in 2006. Ray's television shows have won two Daytime Emmy Awards.
Early Life
Her first taste of food life was when she started out as a waitress in resturants and then became a candy counter girl at a local Macy's. From there she managed the fresh foods department, open a market in the NYC, managed Mister Brown's Pub at The Sagamore Hotel on Lake George and started her trademark of teaching & making 30 minute meals to those who don't like cook very long.
Career
After a successful stint in the local broadcasting field, Rachael gained national attention doing a cooking segment for The Today Show and received her Food Network contract in 2001 and got a job hosting her own Food Network show simply called 30 Minute Meals. More Food Network series & specials followed and eventually signed on with King World & Harpo Productions (Oprah WInfrey production company) to do her own syndicated daily talk show called Rachael Ray, which showcases her talents, her love for life and her generosity to the world. Her empire grew from there, from book deals to guest appearances and started her own charity named after one of her catchphrases called Yum-O!.
Modeling
In 2003, she posed for the men's magazine FHM. Her pictures showed Ray in short-shorts with an exposed midriff, licking chocolate off a big wooden spoon, eating a strawberry and sitting in a sink, laughing as suds cascade down her thighs."

Rachael's married to a lawyer & band lead singer named John Cusimano and together they have a pitbull named Isaboo.
