Live to Dance is a short-lived reality dance competition series based on the British format Got to Dance.
This show was a dancing competition game show, similar to shows like Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. Auditions were held to start and then the judges would have to determine who would move on to the next round and who would be eliminated. The game was comprised of three rounds. Whoever had the most gold stars won the game and were crowned champions.
Countries that have previously aired their versions of Live to Dance includes:
- Australia (never aired)
- United Kingdom (country that originated the program as Got to Dance.)
- Although it was announced that a version was airing in 2011, The Australian version was never aired on Fox8 due to a schedule conflict by another reality dance competition series called Everybody Dance Now on Network Ten in 2012.
As mentioned above, the series was based on the British dancing competition series, Got to Dance airing on Sky 1 from 20 December (December 20) 2009 until 29 August (August 29) 2014, hosted by Davina McCall. In addition, the series was originally going to be called Just Dance before it.
