Jaleel Ahmad White (born November 27, 1976) is an American film and television actor and screenwriter. He is best remembered as Steve Urkel on the TV series Family Matters, but he is known to many Sega fans as Sonic the Hedgehog. He voiced the blue blur in 3 animated television series: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (AoStH for short, aired for 1 season in 1993), Sonic the Hedgehog (nicknamed Sonic SatAm to avoid confusion with the 1991 Sega Genesis game of the same name, and because the show aired on Saturday mornings. This series aired alongside AoStH, but ran for 2 seasons from 1993 to 1994), and Sonic Underground (ran for 40 episodes between 1999 and 2000, he also voiced Sonic's brother Manic and sister Sonia.) He also voiced Sonic in an independent short film produced by Eddie LeBron.
