Hit Me Baby One More Time (or H1t Me Baby One More Time) is based on the British format of the same name, where faded bands and one-hit wonders of the past get a second shot at fame in this short-lived reality show, which lets the viewers vote on which act they still favor as winners were chosen by the studio audience and got a donation in their name to a charity of their choice.
The series was a one-hour competition program featuring veteran music hit-makers famous who will each perform their greatest hits as well as cover a popular contemporary song with the favorite to be determined by audience voting. Also included in the show will be background packages on what made the hit-makers famous as well as updates of their current lives and careers.
- The original British version (also hosted by Vernon Kay) aired on ITV from 2 April (April 2) until 22 May (May 22) 2005.
- For the American version, the show’s title is abbreviated (seen above) as "H1t Me Baby One More Time".
- The show's title is a reference of a hit 1999 pop song by Britney Spears of the same name even though they are not related to each other.
