A Strike Indicator (or Strike for short) is a penalty marker usually seen in the current Spanish-language version of Family Feud called 100 Latinos Dijeron (Spanish for 100 Latinos Said).

History[]

Just like in Family Feud and ¿Que Dice la Gente? (What Do People Say?) at any point when a contestant fails to get any survey answers on the board three times, then their opponents will get a chance to steal the points and quite possibly get more than their opponents. However, it could work against them for the other team could keep the points to themselves all the while building a better lead than their opponents. Occasionally, if any family member takes way too long to give his or her answer, then the host (Regil/Hernandez/Niento) would say to them "Tres Segundos" ("Three Seconds") for which they immediately need to give their answer right away quickly or they'll get buzzed for which in turn it means that the team will also get a strike as well. Just like in Feud, the "Strike" is used as a big red "X" inside a rectangular-shaped box that mixes with a mildly sounding buzzer. But unlike the one in ¿Que Dice la Gente?, there is no glossy yellowish background behind it, as it's akin to be more like its English-language counterpart.

Occasionally in the "Face-Off", after a contestant buzzes in and gives his or her answer that was not on the board or takes way too long to give their answer to Regil/Herenandez/Niento immediately, then they would also get a strike (as of which you can see below this article for example) while another contestant from the opposing team gets a chance to answer for control of the question.

also, the strike indicator is seen during the "La muerte subita" ("Sudden Death") round, but unlike the main round, it can only be seen once during the round.

In the Estrella version, both the Hernandez & Niento era had their strikes inside a red circle.
