This version of That's Amore was a short-lived, relationship show that featured both a husband and wife airing their gripes about each other while letting the studio audience decide who was right. The series itself was an adaptation of the Italian format called C'eravamo tanto amati (We All Loved Each Other So Much).

Premise[]

Each mate presented three complaints about the other who tried to defend himself or herself. In addition, both the husband and wife had friends or relatives to support them in their defense. The winning player received an "Amore" ring and the couple was sent on a second honeymoon trip.

The show's title and theme music was based on a popular 1953 song of the same name, originally sung by Dean Martin of the Rat Pack fame.

An equally short-lived German version called Das ist Liebe (That is Love)[1]hosted by Thomas Aigner {also known as Thomas "Thomy" Aigner} (one of the former host of the German version of Sale of the Century as Hopp oder Top {who replaced original host Andreas Similia [formerly Sportelli, now Jung] from 1990 until 1991} from 1991 until 1992 later proceeded by Hermann Toelcke in 1993) aired on ZDF from 1995 until 1996.

The original Italian version called C'eravamo Tanto Amati (We All Loved Each Other So Much) also hosted by Luca Barbareschi aired on Rete 4 for five seasons from 1989 until 1994.
