The Teen Reunion Tournament was held on November 16-20 from the Wang Theater in Boston, Massachusetts and was the modern Jeopardy's first best-of reunion tournament for teens, Featuring the one week, five-round format as the traditional tournaments on Jeopardy!, it was held in honor of the modern show's first reunion tournament, and offered a $50,000 top prize. The event's preliminary round ran from November 16-19, and ended with the three highest scores moving on to the finals. The four preliminary matches was televised from November 16th-19th, with the finals airing from November 20th[1].
Rule[]
- 12 participants from the 1987-1989 Teen Tournaments will participate. The cast members were all teens by the standards of the time.
- The winner received $50,000; 2nd Place got $15,000; 3rd Place earned $10,000; 4th Place won $7,500 and all other semi-finalists each received $5,000.
- The winner did not take part in the 1999 TofC, unlike other Teen Tournaments (until 1999-2000).
