Bob Kennedy (born Robert Daniel Kennedy on August 18, 1920 - April 7, 2005) was a former baseball player, major league baseball manager and executive, and sub-host for The Price is Right between 1956-1965 from Mesa, Arizona.
Personal Life[]
Kennedy was a member of the Chicago White Sox for many years. He also played for the Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, and Brooklyn Dodgers (now Los Angeles). He captured one World Series championship with the White Sox in 1948. Kennedy retired after playing with the Dodgers in 1957, a year before they moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Following his retirement, he became a player scout and farm team director for one of his former teams, the Cleveland Indians. He also managed the Indians' farm team, the Salt Lake City Bees. He also coached for the Oakland Athletics and the Chicago Cubs. In the game show world, he hosted some game shows and sub-hosted as well. He was an announcer for two-game shows; Name that Tune and Password. Kennedy died on April 7, 2005, at age 84 from natural causes.
